Caterpillar

I almost stepped on this little fellow on my way home yesterday. It is a green caterpillar crawling across the street. I quickly got down on my knees and elbows to photograph it. I took over 20 macro shots, include a couple with it rearing it's head up staring at me but they did not come out well focused. This is the best one of the lot.

So why did the caterpillar cross the road? :-)

Well, to get to the other side, of course!
This is a great shot, Ming—and I'm having a nice chuckle picturing you on your knees and elbows in the middle of the road!

It's not easy being green (in the words of Kermit the Frog) especially when you have to cross the road and an enormous one-eyed monster keeps on trying to steal your soul.....

He crossed the road to ge to the other side-or escape from your prying eyes or who knows!

Fantastic capture. Your macros are really superb.

Amazing shot. Seeing all the little hairs and whatnot so clear is great. Curious, what are you using for a camera and what type of macro lens?
