Stephen King's Other House

This is the house where Stephen King and his family (supposedly) really live. From what I heard, the reason he does not live in the original house anymore is because fans have come up and rung his door bells once too many times.

So do you prefer to be famous OR be anonymous?

j'aime bien cette maison, l'autre évidement ressemble plus à l'univers de Stephen King.
I like this home well, the other hollowing-out resembles more the world of Stephen King.

The two houses are very different , i would choose the anonymous , i think is better to live far from fans...

No need to ask really ... there is no way I could cope with fandom ... I would find this house a bit isolating too ... divides me from the weather and from nature too much.

Beautiful house! Love this architecture.

Is more safe to be anonymous in this crazy World.

Fame seems to be in vogue.

Didn't know that. Sure weren't any signs of activity when I shot his famous house a couple of years ago. But couldn't they just not answer the door or simply lock the gate?

I'd rather be just another face in the crowd. Unless you have a very needy personality, having lots of people approach you would be annoying.

Hi Ming...I love these old homes...I always look at them and wonder of the original owners.....
What was their world like...what sort of things have the walls listened to...
I wish to remain incognito in this world...a far better way to live.

I still think the original house is much prettier!!!

I like not being famous - it allows me freedom!!!

Such a grand house, and not what I'd expect the King of Horror to live in.

I would prefer to be acknowledged by peers for being the best at what I do, rather than be famous for doing nothing significant. We have reality TV to thank for the recent influx of these types of "celebs".

Fame has its benefits, but seeing actors/singers being swarmed upon by paparazzi - it's kinda scary.

I hope Mr. King can live and work peacefully in this lovely house.
The answer to your question might depend on what it is I'm famous for. But if the fame necessarily comes with no privacy, I'll remain invisible, thanks!

This looks like one of the houses form his books!

I'd like to be annoymos but have the riches of fame!

A nice house. Hope not too many of his fans see this else he'll have to move again...! The answer is anonymous.

The house is actually directly next door to his original house. He bought and remodeled it with the intention of turning it into his personal library.

If you were to pan left a couple of feet in the picture you would see the red and beautiful creepiness that is his home.

I'm from Bangor and my parents actually own a flower shot within eye shop of his house. The whole compound looks great, complete with a fence all the around featuring bats and gates to keep those would be door bell ringers out if he so chooses. Great pic!
