University of Maine, Orono

This is the main lawn on the University of Maine campus at Orono. I was there last weekend to attend a photography seminar on natural photography.

So where did you go to school?

That lawn looks fantastic!
Wish we still had a lawn that huge in Ateneo de Manila, but the university has expanded so much since I studied there, there's very little open space left now.

Will you be taking even more wonderful nature photos now, Ming?
First I went to a small all-women's school in PA with a lovely green campus—and nuns. One year of that was enough—so I moved to Paris and studied at the Sorbonne. A different kind of beauty, and a lot more men.

Looks like a beautiful campus. I graduated from Arizona State, but I must say it was not as green as this.

So green and serene.
I was at school in England but decided not to attend university. Do I regret it? Sometimes, but I did Ok without it.

They have to learn to cut the grass in 4 directions, like the British. ;)
Vertical, horizontal, and in diagonal. My father had a phase when we were kids when he made us do that. I now think this was to get us out of his way and get us completely exhausted, lol.
