Blooms in the Summer

I went back to the Orono Bog yesterday morning to take some more photos but left after about half an hour because I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes. The next time I go back again, I will have to put on some insect repellents and wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

So what sacrifices have your made for your photographs?

I hate mosquitoes!
Nasty buzzy bitey things.

You can also add a dry sheet to your pocket - it is supposed to keep the mosquitoes away...

Ming, that looks like some kind of candy! Can I eat those flowers? My greatest sacrifice is in ruining the family peace...every time I stop to take a photo, the kids moan and groan!

Ah Ming...this is so pretty...Looks much like a "mountain laurel" ....This summer I took photos in a garden along side a tiny little garden snake....it seemed harmless enough but frightened me just a bit..

nice macro
there's a lot more nature in your recent photos than before. Do you enjoy the change?

Oh, this is pretty!! Did you put your nose in it to see if it's fragrant? I do that all the time. :)

Good idea about the bug spray!
