The American Folk Festival

This is the entrance to The American Folk Festival on the waterfront in Bangor. It is the largest public event/festival in Bangor and the most important tourist attraction for the township.

So what did you do this weekend?

This weekend I slept in, walked the dogs, went to the gym and hung out with my husband who is recovering from a prostate procedure! We took some rides in the car and watched TV together.

Saturday I went shopping and bought a new garlic press!
Sunday I'm inviting some friends over for dinner. The dinner involves lots of garlic.

Went to the gym on Saturday, out to dinner with friends in the PM. Enjoying a big pot of coffee and the NY Times thus far on Sunday. Think a game of Scrabble with BFF is scheduled for this afternoon.

Went to lunch with friend from work yesterday; today lunch with Bill and several friends. Get the trend? I do eat out a lot.

Festival sounds interesting.

Oh, this looks like it was fun! Am I right?
Went out to the Island to visit my mom, and we went to see Julie and Julia (just as much fun the third time as the first). Then we watched an episode of Julia and Jacques (Pepin) on PBS and they cooked a bunch of things that were featured in the movie (sole meuniere, braised cucumbers, beurre blanc). Very cool!
