Lobster Roll at Giacomo's

This was my lobster roll dinner at Giacomo's, which is located on the corner of Main and Union Street in Bangor. The lobster claws were served naked (without any dressing) on a piece of romaine lettuce tugged inside a toasted bun. The natural sweetness of the lobster claws were simply amazing.

So have you ever had a lobster roll? If so, where and when did you have it?

Hi there Ming! Good to know you have completed the move to Maine and have resumed your blog activities. It's fitting that your first post from the coast illustrates something yummy to eat! No, I've never had a lobster roll, but have eaten lobster in Newfoundland.... in fact I'll be there again in a couple of weeks, Yippee!

I should not have come here without eating first. I've never had a lobster roll. If I find a place here that serves it, I'll order it — it looks and sounds so good!

It's wonderful to have you back blogging Ming!

Oh, Ming, I wish I would have known you are now in Bangor - I would have stopped and said "Hi" when I was up there a couple of weeks ago. I was actually in Bar Harbor at Acadia - but, Bangor was so close!

I am so glad you are back on line with a new blog...YES.

Yes, I have had a lobster roll - and it was in Portland, Maine...can't remember the name of the place. It wasn't as good looking as the one you had.

Hooray for Bangor and hooray for you! I'm not surprised your post was about the local delicacies. Remember to try that Argentine restaurant with the strange name of The Thistle. I'm expecting many more interesting images of Bangor and the State of Maine.

Glad you're back! I missed your questions. I live on the West Coast so lobster rolls are hard to come by, but there is a place called the Lobster Shack that has rolls and lobsters flown in from the East Coast. It's expensive, but so delicious!
