I took this photo of the ice-cream truck and its driver at the Penobscot River Revival Festival in Bangor last weekend. The festival on the Bangor Waterfront was held to celebrate the successful clean up of the Penobscot River.
So do you prefer plain t-shirts or a t-shirt that makes a statement?

I like how the Bat is yellow.
& I like both plain and "statement" T-shirts.
I definitely like t-shirts that have messages on them!
beau coup d'œil, bravo, très amusant la réunion des deux ;o))
nice glance, bravo, very amusing meeting of two ;o))
Nice catch, the bat is still around... We have the same logo with another ice cream brand name inside.
I'm too old for statements on t-shirts, but have had my share...
that ain't no mr. softee!
I like statements on other people but for myself I like 'em plain.
The ones that make the statement though, I like to be genuine: only wear one about Paris if you bought it in Paris; one about UCLA if you are a graduate from there.
Do they make T-Shirts that don't make statements anymore?
It took me a long time to see the bat in the Batman logo.... I always saw it as an open mouth with baby teeth, and never could quite understand the connection to Batman!!!!
I prefer to wear plain teeshirts, but I love reading other people's teeshirts.
I once saw a very well endowed lady wearing a teeshirt that proudly proclaimed "Don't stare, grow your own!"
funny picture-made me smile :)
i love both sayings, good humour goes a long way!
Ha! Love this photo. I prefer subtle statement t-shirts. I am maybe going to buy one I saw that says, Simplify, simplify!--Henry David Thoreau" ---and the first 'simplify' and 'Henry David' are crossed out....
Statements! They're much more fun - or at least a picture. Nice photo. I like the images and the way you got them lined up!
Yay -- you're back! Don't know how I didn't know it until just now, but I'm so glad and also not at all surprised that your first BDP post was a lobster roll!
The only T-shirts I don't like are ones with a rude message or someone else's name on them (i.e., Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John).
Also agree with Julie about authenticity (tho I did have a collection of tees from strangers' bar mitzvahs, all found at thrift shops).
REALLY glad to once again have your wonderful photos to look at every day, Ming.
You little sneak... I didn't know you were up and running again!
