The gentleman on the far left of the photo is musical maestro Modesto Nieves from Puerto Rico. The instrument in his hands is a cuatro, a guitar from Latin America that has four main strings and an additional four harmonizing strings near the base. Mr. Nieves and his band were invited guests at the recent American Folk Festival in Bangor.
So what kind of music do you listen to?

All kinds!! I think the ability to write and perform music is a uniquely, wondrous human trait. And it's what distinguishes us from most creatures living on this Earth.
Currently listening to a couple of CDs I borrowed from the library today.... Molly Johnson and the late and great Jeff Healey. (Canadians y'know, look 'em up, eh?)
What fun! Can't help it—whenever I see someone playing guitar left-handed, I always think of Paul McCartney. You are certainly enjoying the local cultural scene, Ming!
