Lichens

These seaweed looking plants are lichens, a form of symbiotic organism that grows on tree trunks. The photo was taken at the Orono Bog Boardwalk where they can be seen everywhere.

So what are you plans for the weekend?

I am a lichen addict, Ming. These are more leafy than I am used to though. Same shapes I guess: just mucho big.

My weekend starts in a wee while with Friday dinner with my son: a good way to start, methinks!

Very nice. No plans. Just sit back and enjoy the end of summer.

You're becoming the king of the macro, Ming. This one is gorgeous! I plan to chill and maybe take some photos around town. Hope you have a great weekend.

In a way, it looks like you already have frost. Anyway, hi from Delhi. On to Kathmandu today. Internet access there to be determined. By the way, during your planned visit to Delhi you will have plenty of things to do for three days. Your hotel can arrange an English-speaking driver-guide. I wouldn't dare drive here myself.

I'd like to sew a skirt with fabric just like that.
