Watercolors by Gerald Immonen

This is one of the special exhibitions at the UMaine Museum of Art. These watercolor paintings by Gerald Immonen are spectacular because the artist uses a special technique to "wash" and "layer" the the inks, giving them a almost psychedelic, Japanese-manga effect.

j'aime cette salle simple, elle me fait penser un peu a la salle Hopper au Whitney Museum de NYC

Nice looking gallery. Glad you've found a way to stay in out of the weather -:)

Great image. Love the shadows on the floor. The game of lights is beautiful.

Nice light! Did you go at an off hour, or just get lucky to have the space to yourself for a bit? This work sounds interesting—will have to check out the artist online.

We went last Friday. We were captivated by these watercolors. Truly worth seeing, reproduction in pamphlets, brochures etc. does not do them justice. They are remarkable.
