Moonlight Night

This photo was taken on Hammond Street looking towards Main Street in downtown Bangor. I was driving down the street when I saw this amazing moon in the sky. It was so large and brilliant that I could see what appeared to be the moonscape. I pulled over and started taking photos. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the details in the photo.

So when was the last time you pulled over your car to take a photo?

Well, since I have neither car nor license to drive one (I'm a real New Yorker), that would be never. But what a great photo you've captured. I was just saying that the moon never looks as good in a photo as it does in person, but you're proving me wrong here! Well done, MIng.

Actually, I pull over fairly frequently. If I cannot, I slow down and hope the guy behind me will watch out... I often drive with a high ISO that enables a fast shutter speed...

I like this peaceful scene, even if there are no details on your moon! I have a strange moon today on my blog.

These days I pull over almost every day, but there was a time when I rarely did. Most of those scenes are forgotten. This is a great atmospheric shot, and a cool view of downtown Bangor.

Beautiful photo Ming.
If we're driving on vacation we often pull over for photo shots. Most recently-Santa Fe and Taos.

I don't carry a camera all the time and you make a great point that one should. Look at the missed opportunities.

I can never get a decent photo of the moon. Often I can see the patterns on it but the camera just never picks them up. Time I got a better camera :)

I like your shot especially with the street scene.
