This is one of the special exhibitions at the UMaine Museum of Art. These watercolor paintings by Gerald Immonen are spectacular because the artist uses a special technique to "wash" and "layer" the the inks, giving them a almost psychedelic, Japanese-
manga effect.

We went last Friday. We were captivated by these watercolors. Truly worth seeing, reproduction in pamphlets, brochures etc. does not do them justice. They are remarkable.
