BAT is the local public transportation system (i.e. bus) that connects Bangor to nearby towns like Brewer, Veazie, Orono, Old Town, and Hampden. Bangor Area Transit? Doesn't look so much like a bat to me as semi-abstract contemporary design.

That's so neat! But to me the silhouette doesn't even look bat-like. It's like a badly drawn bat!
