Ah... these are some fine images of the process.
this is so cool. I love 'real' maple syrup. I always try to remember to bring my own when I go out to eat pancakes or waffles, unless of course I'm in Vermont where they always serve the good stuff.

It seems like so much work and the sap of so many trees goes into syrup, it's a wonder we have it at all.
