Looks like a paper birch ... I've got one with four trunks in my back yard. Sure do love that blue sky! Ours has been gray and dripping for the last 24 hours or so!
wow, a beautiful Birch tree! It looks so much more authentic than the ones around here that I haven't seen peeling in years. I remember seeing them peel like this when I was a kid. Makes me wonder what happened.
Beautiful capture! Loved the birch trees in Maine. When you have time, take a drive through the back roads of NH as well. There's an area of silver birches that is stunning.
This Daily Photo Blog was created to share my love of photography and my experience/life/move to Bangor, and the places I've visited around Maine.
All photos are original properties of Ming the Merciless, which obviously is NOT my real name but you get the gist of it.

l'arbre mu, il prépare le printemps
Absolutely beautiful Ming. Tree bark is totally fascinating and you captured this so beautifully.
I really like the textures and colours in this picture, Ming. Great job!
Well, I'll just have to agree: the photo and the tree are both striking.

Very impressive. Every living being has it own way to prepare for the spring...
surprising trunk !
That's gorgeous Ming. Bravo. I've seen trees similar here but never ever get them right. You did.

Ming, where have you gone? Another holiday? We all miss you.
Well I've never been able to get a good photograph of similar trees here. Great job on this one Ming!
